Abstract

All concrete in service will be subject to chemical and physical changes. A durable concrete is one in which these changes occur at a rate, which does not detrimentally affect its performance within its intended life. Leave it to concrete alone, the material remains by and large durable, but concrete alone cannot be utilized extensively for structural applications.
