Abstract

The main aim of our research work is to find interesting and knowledgeable rules to discover the correlation and associations between the index and price of the scripts from the data collected from NSE website. Majority of research works have been done in stock market domain. Various studies have been done pertaining associations between different scripts, inter-day, intra-day trading, regarding prediction of movements in stock market and to find out the direction (upward or downward) in the index value. According to various surveys, majority of the work is done in predicting the price of the shares but still it is highly challenging task to predict the price of the shares accurately. Our research work is quite different to the existing works. We have tried our best to bring out accurate and interesting rules to discover the relation between index value and the value of the shares. We have made sure that the association rules generated by our research model help traders, investors and speculators to earn profit and lower the risk involved in the investment as the nature of stock market is very volatile and unpredictable.

Abstract

There are various challenges faced by HR departments while recruiting and selecting the candidates for a particular job/profile. However in current trends, diverse tools and technologies are used to overcome those challenges in the organizations. Several challenges faced in recruitment and selection aretime consumption, lack of recruitment sources and less applicants applying for the job. This research is carried out to know the diversity of challenges faced by different organizations of different sectors while conducting recruitment and selection and prime tools and technologies used to manage those challenges. This research mainly focuses on whether organizations situated in and around Ahmedabad face challenges in recruitment and selection and if they take help of technology to manage those challenges. The research also enlightens us about diversity of challenges faced in different sectors and to know about particular challenges that are faced most in recruitment and selection. In this research, Human Resource Department of Various Organizations were contacted in order to accumulate the insights regarding challenges faced in their respective organizations and structured questionnaire is used as a compiling tool.

Abstract

The study helps in identifying the weaker aspects of culture in terms of values and beliefs that prevail in the organization. It has emerged that some of the values are distinguished enough to make the culture a performing culture. Understanding organizational culture helps to increase the organizational effectiveness and development of employees at all the levels. At the same time the study also revealed that some of the OCTAPACE culture (ethos)dimensions show value lower than the norms specified.Once the diagno¬sis of the culture is done to identify how much each item is valued, the organizations /corporates gets an opportunity to work upon the identified weaker aspects for developing and maintaining a better organizational culture for desired performance to sustain competiti¬on in the long run.The main objective of thisresearch is to study the organizational culture of the selected Indian corporates, operating both in private and public sectorsto measurethe status and extentof various dimensions(8)of OCTAPACE CULTURE. 233 responses to a 4 point scale questionnaire based on the OCTAPACE profile developed by Dr. UdaiPareek were obtained from 8 organizationsin UttarPradesh. Data is based on the responses from 78Executive Managers, 22 staff and16operationalemployees serving in private organizations whereas 77executive managers , 23 staff and 17operationalemployees serving in public/government, organizations in the year 2015-2016. The paper goes on to present the major findings based on descriptive research design undertaken with the help of structured questionnaires to study the OCTAPACECulture forthe managers, staff andoperational officials.It is worth mentioning that scores below ‘low value’ shown in the norms table are rated as ‘ requires improvement’, scores above ‘high value’ are rated as ‘ excellent’ and scores between low and high value are rated as ‘very good’.The results show that the sample differs significantly in perceiving their OCTAPACECulture& are having varying level of OCTAPACE culture values in their organizations.

Abstract

The term work life balance (Work Life Balance) was coined in 1986 in response to the growing concerns by individuals and organizations alike that work can impinge upon the quality of family life and vice-versa, thus giving rise to the concepts of “family- work conflict” (FWC) and “work-family conflict” (WFC). The former is also referred to as work interferes with family” (WIF) while the latter is also known as “family interferes with work”(FIW). In other words, from the scarcity or zero-sum perspective, time devoted to work is construed as time taken away from one’s family life.
