Abstract
The present endeavor was intended to study the leadership and performance of employees of different hierarchical strata of giant enterprises. The study had the following objectives (a) to study the relationship between leadership style and performance (b) to see the relationship of various organizational factors with leadership style and performance and (c) also to see the impact of various biographic factors on performance. First of all it was hypothesized that democratic leadership style will be highly associated with performance. Secondly it was speculated that organizational climate will have a greater influence on leadership style, managerial skills and job satisfaction. Present study involved a 200 subject sample.The obtained data were analyzed by using t-test, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA and multiple correlation and regression.
