Abstract

This study was conducted for the evaluation of hematological impacts induced by Clomazone in Rattus norvegicus. Three groups of wistar rats were administered orally with three different doses of Clomazone i.e. 250, 500 and 1000 mg/kg b.wt. for 90 consecutive days and a control group of wistar rats was administered orally corn oil (vehicle only) in same manner. Animals were sacrificed on the 91st day of experiment and blood was collected for the analysis of hematological parameters- Total Leukocyte Count/White blood cells (TLC/WBC), Neutrophils (N%), Lymphocyte (L%), Monocyte (M%), Eosinophils (E%), Basophils (B%), Total Erythrocyte count/Red Blood Cells (TEC/RBC), Hemoglobin (Hb), Hematocrit (Hct), Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV) and Platelet Count (PC).
