FLEXIBILITY OF THE LOWER BACK AND HAMSTRING MUSCLES IN 18 TO 20 YEAR OLD COLLEGE STUDENTS

Abstract

The main aim of this study was compare lower back and hamstrings muscles flexibility in 18 to 20 years old college students. For the purpose of study a total of 273 students were selected from various department of NSIT Delhi. The selected subjects were divided into three age groups i.e. eighteen, nineteen, and twenty year respectively. Sit and reach test was administered to measure the lower back flexibility. There was a significant difference obtain in the lower back and hamstring muscle between the three age groups (eighteen, nineteen, and twenty year). It can be concluded that the twenty year old college students had better lower back flexibility when compared to the other two age group selected for the study.
