THE SURVEY OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN MICRO SMALL TO MEDIUM SIZE ORGANIZATION (MSME) IN INDIA – MAHARASHTRA

Abstract

Small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of the nation's economy, especially in developing countries.The paper present the survey of the various factors present in the adoption, implementation and presentation of the knowledge management activity in the MSME of Maharashtra region of India. The survey shows that very few organizations are in a stage of implementing the knowledge management methods. The response rate for the survey was 0.28 %. Many organizations have obstacles in the stating knowledge management practices. We identified some important facets of the MSMEs which are beneficial to MSMEs based on this survey results.
