Abstract

With the rapid development of the wireless devices, mobile ad-hoc network is becoming an important part in various fields. Mobile adhoc networks (MANETs) are a collection of nodes that are interconnected with each other through a wireless medium. There is no centralized base station and can be easily set up anywhere at anytime. In MANET routing is an important design issues as the operational time for mobile node is the most critical factor. The major goal is to provide energy efficient routes for MANETs. This paper identifies the literature review related to the routing protocols available in the range of MANET and discusses the behind this survey is to facilitate research efforts by merging the existing results so as to get more efficient routing mechanism in mobile ad-hoc networks.
