ROLE OF NPL AND FINANCIALIZATION FACTORS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF INDIAN BANKS: A PANEL DATA ANALYSIS

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to identify the role of NPL and other financial factors on the performance of Indian banks. By comparing twenty banks over 8 years period, which includes public and private sector banks, this research finds how NPL and various financial factors are responsible for the overall performance of the banks. Based on the results we classify the banks’ vulnerability.
