Abstract

UNNATI Microfinance Ltd. a Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) operating in nine districts of Uttarakhand, with major focus in rural areas. It provides credit to poor women and work towards improving their socio-economic well being. ‘Demonetization’ was major economic reform announced on November 8th, 2016 hard hit the organisation. Non repayment by clients, decline in loan repayment, rising loan losses, increase in Non Performing asset, Liquidity Crunch and loosing customer base are the challenges which organisation is facing since ‘Demonetization’. Several meetings and discussions were conducted taken place but the question still remains that ‘What strategies should be developed to minimise its effects and sustain in the market’.
