Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRM) has grown very popular over the past decades, and it is now a common characteristic for nearly all larger companies and many smaller ones. Human Resource Management in India as well as in Himachal Pradesh has been recognized as one of the most important characteristics of any organization and it is the source of achieving competitive advantage. Without HRM, no organisation will function efficiently. Managing human resources is very tough as compared to managing technology or capital and for its effective management, the organization requires effective HRM system. The study seeks to analyse the primary and secondary data collected from the Kinnaur, Bilaspur and Hamirpur districts of Himachal Pradesh. This research paper focuses on HRM practices and their impact on organizational performance of HPSEBL. The major objectives of the study are to analyse the perceptions of the respondents about the HRM practices and its impact on organisational performance in HPSEBL and evaluate the existing facilities available to the beneficiaries.
