Abstract

Mounting wakefulness on the different green or ecological problems has led a swing in the way consumers go about their life. Citizens are enthusiastically trying to diminish their impact on the environment. Nevertheless, this is not prevalent and is still budding. Organisations and business companies though have seen this amend in consumer attitudes and are trying to get an edge in the cutthroat market by exploiting the prospective growth in the green market industry. In the contemporary epoch of globalisation, it has become a dare to keep the consumers in fold and still keep our natural environment protected and that is the prime call for of the present occasion. Green marketing is a phenomenon which has developed fastidious magnitude in the modern market and has emerged as an imperative concept in India as in other parts of the developing and developed world, and is seen as an important strategy of facilitating sustainable development. In this research paper, key stress has been laid current Scenario of Indian market, environmental legislations in India and green initiatives by the Indian companies.
