Abstract

Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Manufacturing (RPRM) technologies have changed the world of quickly creating 3D products by using computer-aided design systems. RPRM generally deals with the techniques which produce shaped parts by gradual creation or addition of solid material. To deploy the customer-driven product customization, to accelerate product obsolesce, vast demand of product with cost saving are the major problems of current global industry marketing. RPRM is a key technology having ability to optimize the product design and required development time to it.This technic is capable of forming parts with complicated structures and non-homogeneous materials. It is generally applied in rapid tooling and moulding, direct formed usable part, nano or micro-RPRM. This is highly flexible digital manufacturing method which has an ability to become amassive forming technology. RPRM gathers several technics with the common baseline that parts are built layer by layer, starting from a CAD model. RPRM is the latest approach for the manufacturer of small quantity complex individual items. RPRM is a process that employs preservative fabrication technology to produce end-use items by using CAD data. Components are manufactured without moulding, casting or machining. The impact of RPRM is advantageous are extensive.
