Abstract

In the Present work Mn doped α-Fe2O3 thin films have been prepared by using spin-coating technique on glass substrate . The structural analysis revealed that, the films are amorphous in nature and characterized by means of X- ray Diffraction (XRD) ,from Scanning Electron microscope(SEM) image it showed that film surface is porous and well covered with smooth ,irregular shaped grains of random size. The UV-Visible characterization studies showed that the band-gap of Mn doped α-Fe2O3 thin film was found to be 2.65 eV with direct band to band transition also the Contact angle measurement indicated that Mn doped α-Fe2O3 shown hydrophobic in nature, Those properties will allow them to be used in electronic devices like lithium-ion batteries and supercapciators etc.
