E-GOVERNANCE IN INDIA: HINDRANCES IN PERFECT IMPLEMENTATION

Abstract

The concept of Good Governance has gained prominence around the world in recent times. The requirement of overall good governance has changed over a period of time. Enhancement on technological front has brought out the term e-Governance due to continuous emergence of information and communication technologies (ICTs).Today being the era of e-communication. All over the world governments are using e communication that is e-governancewhich is used to govern the public and private activities in which India is one of them. This isthe fastest and easiest way of communicating information. Indian government faces several challenges and problems in the implementation of the ICT in order to carry out its e-governance policies. This paper tries to find out the usefulness of e-governance and how it can be effective. The study is based on secondary data. The paper wants to study different aspects of e-governance policies being implemented and how they can be more effective. The paper follows a regular flow of analysis wherein a conclusion of the study will be given at the end.
