Abstract

I am loved ! You are special! She is so talented and beautiful ! He is the best ! Over a period of time the human mind tends to thirst for more of these and become conditioned to a point from where these very expressions become essential to uphold one's self-esteem. Seeds of this abnormal mind clinically termed 'narcissism' may be sown at a very young age when appreciation oft comes in words which express the individual's uniqueness rather than the unconditional love a s/he so deserves from near and dear ones. With time's progression the individual begins to look for appreciation outside the realm of their social circle too.
