Abstract

The introduction of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RFCTLARR) Act, 2013 was heralded as a significant development in Pro-tribal jurisprudence of the country. The issue of displacing tribal groups and forest dwellers from their ancestral lands has been a contentious one with difficult solutions, some even draconian.
