Abstract
A literature review is actually an attempt to identify, locate ad synthesize completed research reports, articles, books and other materials relevant to the specific problems of a research topic. However, when new studies are undertaken in which materials are not available, the researcher need not ponder over previous studies. The literature review provides a background and context for the study, exploring the output of previous scholarship in an area. This paper is a review of research on various studies from different parts of the world relating to tribal development, social structure, educational attainment of the children, and assorted facets with a view to giving a platform to future studies.
