GREEN BANKING

Abstract

After the industrial revolution and globalization our living style change, we added a lot of comfort and luxury living style. Many new industries form, there main aim is how to compete our competitors, so they produce more. If industries increase their production, then they need more and more resources increase. Due to industrial revolution our environment and climate change. Today, the all sector in the world economy is facing huge challenge to deal with the environmental problems and their related impacts in their day to day businesses. Not only the business firms have realized the importance of the environment but consumers and general public for the same. Due to these reasons the business organizations have started modifying their activities and strategies so as to ensure protection to our natural resources and environment. Financial sector plays very important role in promoting green banking.Green banking refers to the banking business managed in such a manner that helps for overall reduction of external carbon emission and internal carbon footprint. The main aim of this project is to understand the use of Green Banking Products in banking sector and examine the green banking initiatives by well-known banks. Study concluded that many banks have efficiently initiated for green banking.
