Abstract
In the present context there is a need for conservation of environment. Since producers produce and emit pollution that will adversely affect the environment, our society and welfare hence there is a need of some provision such that they take or feel responsibility towards the environment and society. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs enforced the Companies Act, 2013 "Act" and the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Rules "CSR Rules" from 1 April 2014. As per India's CSR reporting survey 2016, top 100 companies have spent more on CSR in 2016.
