Abstract

The propagation of strong shock waves in a self-gravitating dusty gas has been studied by Whitham method. Neglecting the effect of overtaking disturbances, analytical relations for shock velocity, particle velocity, shock strength and pressure have been obtained and discussed with the help of graphs and tables. The results obtained hear are compared with earlier results.
