A STUDY OF DIFFERENCES IN THE PERSONALITY AMONG MALE AND FEMALE COLLEGE STUDENTS.

Abstract

The present study was mainly conducted to compare male & female students in terms of their personality. The study was conducted on two sample of subjects consisting 150 male and 150 female college students were selected from Bhiwani & Rewari districts of Haryana state. Both the groups were tested with the 16 personality factor questionnaire. Obtained data were analyzed by applying descriptive statistics i.e. mean, standard deviation and t-ratio. It was found that male scored significantly higher on factors O & Q4 & lower on factors B, G, H & Q3 of 16 PF as compared to female.
