Boiler drum level unit is the main controlling equipment in thermal power plants as it requires regular inspection at frequent intervals of time. Controlling drum level includes feed water parameters of the boiler to be maintained at desired set points. The proposed system controls the level of feed water equipment’s through PLC. In case of emergency different automated check valves, sensors are used for tripping the unit thereby to avoid any major damage to the plant or any personnel. Boiler drum level control is designed using of Ladder logic Allen Bradley PLC.
