INCIDENCE OF HEPATITIS C VIRUS IN HBSAG POSITIVE CASES

Abstract

With the increasing usage of blood transfusion, platelet transfusion, organ transplantation and Intravenous drug abuse, the possibility of combination of both Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C virus cannot be excluded. Both have similar mode of transmission and a common target organ and similar complication and the present study was undertaken to establish the association of both these viruses in liver diseases.
