A CASE STUDY ON EQUITY SHARE PRICE BEHAVIOUR OF SELECTED PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES (BSE) IN STOCK EXCHANGE

Abstract

Globalization has led to a considerable growth in financial markets especially stock market in past two decades. Stock markets act as a barometer of economy progress. It facilitates and encourages the mobilization of funds, provision of equity capital to the corporate sector and provides adequate returns for the investors. The stock market indicates would help the investors to identify major market movement. This is a significant technical analysis of Pharmaceutical industries which helps to understand the share price behaviour. The pharmaceutical industries are one of the world’s largest and fastest growing industries. It develops produces and market drugs or pharmaceuticals for use as medications. In the present study an evaluation of stocks of Pharmaceutical companies in stock exchange has been made on the basis of technical indicators used in analysis. The core aim of this paper is to make study on selected securities of Pharmaceutical sector and forecasting behaviour of the share prices and also testing of whether or not the means of several groups are equal by using statistical techniques such as trend value analysis and ANOVAs Test. This study is purely based on published secondary data which are provided by Bombay stock exchange.
