TALENT MANAGEMENT PRACTICES IN LUXURY AND LOW BUDGET HOTELS: CONCEPTUAL VIEW POINT

Abstract

This paper has a conceptual view point of the talent management practices which should be practiced in hotel industry. It gives a brief theme of the hotel types as per the standard and a difference between the luxury and low budget hotels. The research was conducted to go through with the talent management practices being practiced in luxury and low budget hotels as these two hotels have a different types of practices being practiced. The aim of the research is to analytically investigate the talent management practices being practiced in luxury and low budget hotels. Objectives of the study is to determine and classify the practices being used to source talent in the hotel Industry and to critically assess the techniques of retaining the employees through talent management practices by measuring and identifying the development and performance of employees through talent management practices in luxury and low budget hotels. It suggests that the analysis of the articles indicates that work of the studies undertook were mainly on the Talent Management Practices being practiced in Banking , IT , Hospitality and Tourism sector but no study seems to have been undertaken with the Talent Management practices followed by hotels through a comparative study in luxury and low budget hotels. The analysis of the paper recognizes that the tourism and hospitality have a widely being practiced the talent management practices by the different styles as per the standard of the hotel.
