Abstract

For estimating the mean of a finite population using auxiliary information in the form of attribute and variable both, An improved class of estimator using Jack-Knife technique is proposed. It is shown that this generalized Jack-Knifed estimator is unbiased and has minimum mean square error as compared to some of the estimators available in the literature. An empirical study is also included as an illustration.
