Abstract

The condition of formation, Preparation and formulation of heteropolyoxomolybdates has been conducted by pH metry, chemical and atomic emission spectroscopic analysis. The compounds have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, T.G.A, TG and IR studies. The rate of electron transfer reaction of thioglycolic acid with cobalt (III) substituted Keggin type heteropoly anion in acetate-acetic acid buffer has been measured spectrophotometrically at 250c. The rate of reaction increases with increase of pH of the medium. Rate constants for mono-anion and di-anion are evaluated from rate law derived from mechanism.
