EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Abstract

Emotions have been described as discrete and consistent responses to internal or external events which have a particular significance for the organism. Emotions are brief in duration and consist of a coordinated set of responses, which may include verbal, physiological, behavioral, and neural mechanisms. Emotional intelligence and ability emotional intelligence was introduced in 2000.It is the ability to identify, assess, and control the emotions of oneself, of others, and of groups. It can be divided into ability emotional intelligence and trait emotional intelligence. Emotional competencies are not innate talents, but rather learned capabilities that must be worked on and can be developed to achieve outstanding performance. Emotional intelligence depends upon some factors like Effective Communication which refers to the exchange of idea, feelings, emotions, knowledge, and information between two or more persons. It is an established fact that we spend 75% to 90 % of their working time in communicating with others.
