Abstract

Fruits and Vegetables get deterioted after harvesting due to harsh climatic conditions. The present paper deal with the energy conservative solar passive cool chamber which is most probably be useful in the areas of dry and the hot places solar energy which can be useful for the storage. The working is based upon the principle of direct evaporative cooling process & decreasing the interior temperature and increasing the relative humidity & keeping the vegetables fresh. The storage keeps the vegetables fresh for long time due to which it maintains its market value as in beginning. In the ambient condition it maintains a temperature difference of 12-15oc with the room temperature and the Chamber.
