Abstract

The sacred scripture, Guru Granth Sahib, is considered to be an eternal, sovereign and living Guru by the Sikhs. The principles of Sikhism were developed by ten Sikh Gurus over more than 200 years. Guru Nanak Dev ji – the 1st Guru of the Sikhs – initiated this religion based on the eternal values of the truth, kindness, contentment, spiritual wisdom, and meditation. These values form recurrent themes in Guru Granth Sahib.
