ALLELOPATHIC EFFECTS OF ARTEMISIA, CALLISTEMON, CASUARINA, AND VERBESINA PLANTS USING HYDRILLA BIOASSAY

Abstract

The Allelopathic effects of shoot extract Verbesina, Callistemon and leaf extract of Artemisia, casuarina were studied on growth of submerged macropastes Hydrilla verticillata. In which all the extracts was along with the tap water and mixture of clay garden soil 1:2 ratio were applied and as a result of this. Verbesina had positive in beginning which become toxic after wards almost opposite trends were noted in callistemon. Casuarina and Artemisia had promontory effect.
