Abstract

Since time immemorial, the plants and their products have been the primary source of food, shelter, clothes, flavours, medicine for human beings. Natural resins from plants are of great importance. Salai-an oleo- gum -resin is a stem exudate of genus Boswellia serrata Roxb. The present paper reviews about the species and medicinal properties of the plant.
