Consciousness is the negation of the intermediary, the knowledge of direct contact. Sense and consciousness must be united for perception. In the world of dreams, those things happen, but the consciousness does not wake up. Giving roses to a sleeping person is synonymous with giving flowers to the dead. The end of sleep is breakdown, time, it does this automatically. In normal condition, sleep ends after a certain period of time and wakefulness begins, but in abnormal and emergency situations, it is not possible for sleep to continue and persist.
