Abstract

The study revealed that carrot stecklings when planted on 15 January with 100 kg/ha nitrogen and steckling size of 6-8 cm produced plants which bear more number of leaves per plant (15) at 30 days growth, 38 leaves at 60 days and 40.9 leaves at 90 days of growth. When provided with 150 kg/ha nitrogen. Similarly leaf dry matter was also highest at 150 kg/ha nitrogen application .
