Abstract

Increasingly, economists have turned to the experimental model of the physical sciences as a method to understand human behaviour. Much of this research has taken the form of laboratory experiments in which volunteers enter a research lab to make decisions in a controlled environment. In this paper, we conduct a lab experiment on undergraduate university students to examine issues related to trust and reciprocity in an investment game with several sub-treatments like random and fixed matching and repeated interaction.
