Abstract

There are various studies and literature defining living standard and minimum living standard as a concept that ensures good quality of life for the person. The world has a number of indicators to measure the level of human development or progress. However, these indicators only measure the outcome of human well-being. They don’t provide specific guidelines or requirements to achieve these outcomes. To bring about real improvements in the lives of people the metric to assess the quality and its improvement need to be explicitly and clearly defined.
