Panini, Katyayana and Patanjali acknowledge the eternity, integrity and unique originality of words. The judgment of sphotism is necessary for the realization of the eternalism of words. Although the word sphota is not found in the Vedas its importance is essential here. In the ancient mantra 'Rikveda Bacha Virup Nityaya' the word is called nitya i.e. formless.
