Abstract

Lakes, ponds etc. constitute fresh water bodies, which harbor aquatic life. The information gathered on the condition of water bodies can be useful for education, research, planning and regulatory purposes. The study of physico-chemical characters of an ecosystem is essential in determining the productivity of an ecosystem. Each physico-chemical factor does play its individual role but at the same time, the final effect is the actual result of the interaction of these factors.
