E-Governance provides various advantages to the government and other related bodies. It provides quality access to reliable information & services to the general public, at the requisite time. To overcome the challenges faced by the NeGP, the government launched e-Kranti (NeGP 2.0). The Digital India Programme (DIP) launched by the BJP government was based on 9 strong pillars. The fourth and fifth pillar of the DIP, namely, “e-Governance: Reforming Government through Technology” and “ e-Kranti – Electronic Delivery of Services” are directly related to e-Kranti (NeGP 2.0). The vision of e-Kranti is “Transforming e-governance for transforming governance”.
