STUDIES ON WATER QUALITY OF SUSVA RIVER IN DEHRADUN

Due to hilly terrain Dehradun city has a natural drainage pattern with sufficient gradients to drain off strom water easily in to the two main natural drainage channels i.e river Bindal and River Rispana. Susva river is one of the tributary of the song and Ganga river it needs to be taken care of to save the ecosystem of Dehradun. Keeping all these points this project was undertaken in 2017. The sampling sites were selected in the Mothrowala to study the physiochemical parameters water temperature, turbidity, alkalinity, conductivity, ph., and water hardness, chloride,& sulphide were estimated
