Abstract

India is a very popular destination for pilgrimage travel. Shri Lord Narasimha, Shri Lord Tirumala venkateswara, Amarnathji, Chamundi Devi, etc. are some of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in India. Despite the fact that religious tourism has been extensively studied, only a small amount of study has been done to determine how pilgrims' behaviour differs depending on their demographics. In this study, we looked at how people from various socioeconomic backgrounds perceive religious tourism. The purpose of this research is to find out how satisfied pilgrims are with the various services offered at Simhachalam Devasthanam and what challenges they encounter. However, the Simhachalam Devasthanam was chosen instead of all of India's shrines owing to a lack of resources, time, and money. The study's goal is to find out how satisfied pilgrims are with their experience at Simhachalam Devasthanam based on their demographics.
