EXPLORING THE ANTECEDENTS FOR ADOPTING MANPOWER OUTSOURCING PRACTICES

The purpose of the paper is to identify the top order factors that have played a significant role in the evolution and adoption of concept of manpower outsourcing. The design of the study is descriptive where themes have been identified from literature survey. It is then put to expert validation before proposing a conceptual framework. Findings of the study informed that it is the cost reduction which is the prime motivator that led the outsourcing to make inroads in the manpower planning and organizing. The implications that can be gathered from the study is that organizations in order to be successful have to go as per the changing environment. Since all the functional level departments are integrated with the strategic intent of the firm, changes are bound to happen in their strategies as well.
