Abstract

The study was conducted as per annual cycle from April 2009 to June 2012 in different seasons to estimate their prevalence samples from total 640 birds, which were randomly collected from the local sellers. The present study deals with the study of prevalence of intestinal helminthes (cestodes) of Gallus domesticus in and around Chapra in different seasons of three annual cycles. The contents of intestine 527 (82.3%) were found to be infected by one or more helminth parasites. The percentage of prevalence helminthic infection was highest during summer followed by winter and lowest during rainy season and the values were found to be 87.2%, 80.9 % and 77.9% respectively during the three year of time.
