Abstract

Art has always been a language of expression and communication. Infact, it is the oldest universal language existing with evidence, and can be found in pre-historic caves as well. Human beings used to communicate through the images. They were so brilliant and creative in communication through the multiple imagery dialogue that it became an essential part of their daily life. The biggest examples can be observed in the form of Ajanta Cave paintings, which are still mysterious, yet can easily be understood and expressed. It’s a language which signifies the value of symbols, forms, and identity. It represents the unique cultural identity in all its diversity and richness. It creates community, and builds a connection throughout generations. There have been several questions about how this idea of creation comes in one’s mind. Is this the curiosity or anxiety to know or to express or just to mark one's presence? Despite this fact, it was also a medium of teaching and preaching as well. The art as poetry, dance, music, paintings etc. have been the prime sources of teaching since the ancient times. It is a great educative medium with learning by making.
