Abstract
The Arunachal Pradesh erstwhile North East Frontier Tract(NEFA) was under the supervision and direct control of the Ministry of Home Affairs and constitutionally was part of the province of Assam till 1972, it was (NEFA) reconstituted as a union territory status by the name of Arunachal Pradesh under the 27th Constitutional Amendment Act of 1971
