Abstract
Persistent hyperglycemia is a hallmark of diabetes, a chronic, progressive metabolic disease caused by deficiencies in either insulin action or secretion, or both. Diabetes is a major public health issue that affects millions of people worldwide and contributes to high rates of morbidity and mortality (Ahmed Abdelhalim Yameny1, 2024).
