Abstract
Dichlorvos, an organophosphate insecticide, is highly toxic to fish. It disrupts the nervous system by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme crucial for nerve function. Even at low concentrations, dichlorvos can cause behavioral changes, respiratory distress, and mortality in fish, making it a significant threat to aquatic ecosystems.
