Abstract

Without safe drinking water, adequate sanitation and hygiene facilities at home and in the work places, it is very difficult and harder for women and girls to lead safe, productive, healthy lives. However lack of access to water, sanitation and hygiene affects women disproportionally, due to both biological and cultural factors. In contemporary world though both men and women are related to the environment, they are impacted differently by the use of water, land, animals and plant. Rural women are more connected to the environment compared to the urban women
