Abstract

Investor behaviour is a hotly debated topic within the academic community. The Investor behaviour is the process by which Investor tends to satisfy his/her needs by showing their choices. The demographical factors play critical role in determining individual buying behaviour for any goods or even service. Many research, have proved that there is great impact of demographical factors like age, gender, income, culture etc. on the investment decision of investors. After an in-depth review of literature no significant studies have found examining the impact of these demographical factors on investment behaviour of women in particular. Hence, a study has taken up to examine the impact of demographical factors on investment behaviour of working women of Hyderabad Karnataka Region. A descriptive study has been conducted with 480 samples selected based on convenient sampling method. The primary data has been collected with a structured, pretested questionnaire and the data collected were analysed through both descriptive and inferential statistics computed with the help of SPSS software. The study explored the fact that demographical factors have significant impact on the investment behaviour of working women.
