 GROWTH KINETICS DURING PREPARATION, CHARACTERIZATION AND OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF CDIN2TE4 THIN FILMS.

Abstract

CdIn2Te4 thin films were depositedon stainless steel substrates by using pulsed electrodeposition technique in galvanostatics mode from an aqueous highly acidic bath containing CdSO4, InCl3 and TeO2. The growth kinetics of the film was studied. The deposition parameters like concentration of electrolyte, time of deposition, current density and pH of electrolyte bath are optimized. The X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis of the deposited film under optimized condition showed presence of polycrystalline nature. The surface morphology was studied with the help of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) shows that the deposited films are well adherent and grains are uniformly distributed over the surface of substrate.
